Are You Ready to Become a Birth Doula?
THE WORLD NEEDS MORE DOULAS!
Over the years women have asked me how I became a doula and I’ve always referred women to where I received my training, but, since 2019 I have felt so called to create the Radically Brave Birth Doula Training & Mentorship and make it much more immersive, supportive, and one that lasted much longer than a weekend seminar.
For those of you whose interest is piqued at this point, know that this program will not be a nationally recognized certification (those really do not matter). Even though I took a weekend seminar to become a doula, I never registered under any national certification organization program. I have always lived in the world where experience matters so much more than a piece of paper that I paid $400 annually for.
If that turns you off, I completely understand! Know that in my experience as a doula, certifications are hardly asked for. This business is all about relationships, strength in your ability to advocate for women, and experience.
Having worked with women as in fitness for the last 10 years and as a doula for the last 8, I can say with the utmost confidence that I will help you become the kind of doula you’ve always wanted to be: a woman who stands for moms, a woman who advocates for the safety and highest care for women, a woman who educates and informs women of her rights in birth and postpartum, and as a woman who deeply cares for changing maternal outcomes in America.
My doula mentorship is a ONE-YEAR (!) program! The first 3 months of our program will be calls every two weeks. On these calls we will discuss birth education, advocacy, the role of a doula, best practices, building your business, and more. Every quarter thereafter we will have a call to meet up, learn about specific birth scenarios from me, discuss how the last few months have gone, and answer any questions you may have on your journey as a doula. In between calls, you have access to me via text and email to ask anything.
The most valuable piece to this year long mentorship is that I will be ‘on call’ with you for all of your births during this first year. If you are at a birth, I will be available for any questions that may come up during births you’re attending via text or phone (during business hours). One of the most valuable aspects of my early years as a doula was having my mentor answer all of my questions when I was with clients at a birth and this is something that NO other doula trainings offer!
The Radically Brave Birth Doula Training & Mentorship will only be offered two times a year: in January and in June. I cannot wait to get this course started!
